Consent to the use of your personal data

1 Scope of application
The declaration of consent of Steinbeis Center of Management and Engineering GmbH (hereinafter referred to as SCME GmbH) and SMT informs users about the scope, type and use of personal data associated with registration or login on the external information platform https://eis-scmt.com and on the eCampus https://ecampus.steinbeis-smt.com, as well as about revocation and information.

2 Scope of data collection and storage
In order to use the external information platform https://eis-scmt.com and the eCampus https://ecampus.steinbeis-smt.com, it is necessary for SCME GmbH and SMT to collect personal data. This data relates to details of your address, your previous professional and educational background and other information required for an application for our educational programmes. In order to be able to analyse and use the personal data, SCME GmbH stores all the information provided, unless an objection is lodged (see point 5).

3. use of personal data
General:
Your personal data will be processed for the application process at SCME GmbH/ SMT as well as for the implementation of a study programme and in the context of an employment relationship. By confirming the declaration of consent, you consent to the use and processing of your data in accordance with the attached information pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR and confirm that you are over 16 years of age and have understood the attached information.

Applicant:
We would like to point out that the personal data of your person collected in the context of the above-mentioned purposes will be collected, processed and used in accordance with Art. 88 para. 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with § 26 para. 1 of the Federal Data Protection Act. The provision of your personal data is necessary for the handling of the application process and for the decision on the establishment of a study/employment relationship.
Automated decision-making is not carried out.
In order to assess your documents, they will be forwarded within the group of companies to the responsible employees of the HR department and to the responsible contact person/head of department of the respective specialist department for which the application is intended. The personal data you provide will not be transferred to a third country or an international organisation.
Your application documents will be stored by us for the duration of the application process and kept for a further 3 months in order to be able to answer any questions you may have. After this period, the documents will be deleted.
We will only store your data until you withdraw your express written consent so that we can contact you in the future about job vacancies within our company OR group of companies that may be of interest to you.
As part of your application for the project competence programme, some of your personal data will be passed on to partner companies so that they can suggest you as a potential applicant. Working on a project at one of our partner companies is an essential part of the programme.

Student:
Your personal data will be collected and stored by SCME GmbH and SMT in order to provide you with relevant information about your studies/seminar or SCME GmbH / SMT during your studies/seminar. Some of your personal data will be made visible to your fellow students so that they can get in touch with you. This data includes your name, profile photo, e-mail address and company name.
In the context of online seminars or e-learning modules, it may be necessary to transfer your personal data (such as e-mail address) to cooperation partners or the eCampus.
In addition, your e-mail address will be disclosed to your fellow students in the context of seminar invitations, group assignments, modules abroad and other messages concerning your implementation.

Alumni/graduate:
Your personal data will be stored by SCME GmbH/ SMT in order to provide you with relevant information about SCME GmbH/ SMT after your studies/seminar.

4. misuse
On the one hand, your personal data is used so that SCMT GmbH/SMT can contact you and provide you with information. On the other hand, some of your data is available to other users so that you can contact them. Should SCME GmbH/SMT discover any misuse of the personal data made available in this way by a user of the platforms, this will be pursued immediately and, if necessary, reported to the police. The access of the responsible user will be blocked immediately after detection.

5. rights of data subjects
We will only store your data until you withdraw your express written consent so that we can contact you in future about job vacancies within our company OR group of companies that may be of interest to you.
According to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to information about the processing of your personal data. In addition, you are free to assert your rights to rectification, erasure, objection or, if erasure is not possible, to restriction of processing and to data portability in accordance with Articles 16-18, 20 GDPR. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact the data protection officer.
You can revoke your declaration of consent at any time with effect for the future. The declaration of revocation should be sent to: info@scmt.com.
Please note that in order to protect your privacy and security, we must verify your identity before implementing such measures.
You will not suffer any personal disadvantages if you withdraw your consent, but you will not be able to apply to SCME GmbH or study at SMT without consent.
In the event of cancellation, your data will be deleted after 3 months from receipt of the cancellation notice.
If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data is not lawful, you can contact the data protection supervisory authority in Baden-Württemberg at any time. Of course, you can also contact the data protection officer at SCME GmbH andreas.hoepken@scmt.com or SMT dsb-shb@steinbeis.de.

We expressly point out that, in accordance with the GDPR, we are authorised to process and/or use your data despite the revocation of your declaration of consent if this is done within the scope of the purpose of a contractual relationship or a relationship of trust similar to a contract and/or insofar as it is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume, after a weighing of interests to be carried out, that your legitimate interest in the exclusion of processing and/or use prevails.

You are entitled to view the personal data stored about you at any time free of charge. The information will be provided in writing. If you would like information about the storage of your personal data, please contact us in writing at the address below, enclosing a copy of your identity card:

6 Data security
We endeavour to ensure the security of your data within the framework of the applicable data protection laws. For this reason, the transmission of data and information is always encrypted. However, we would like to point out that no electronic communication is completely secure. This means that all data and information that you voluntarily transmit to us could be obtained by third parties by means of unlawful data acquisition. We cannot accept any responsibility or liability for the disclosure of information due to errors and/or unauthorised access during data transmission by third parties

7. protection of minors
If you are under the age of 18, you should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of your parents or legal guardians. We do not request personal data from children and young people. We do not knowingly collect such data and do not pass it on to third parties.

8 Changes
We reserve the right to amend this declaration of consent at any time in compliance with data protection regulations.
Without your consent, it is not possible for you to register on our external information platform and be considered for the application process. If you do not agree to the declaration, you will not be able to create a profile or receive relevant information from SCME GmbH/SMT.
